LOCKING UP PENNY’S BAY COMMUNITY ISOLATION FACILITY Penny’s Bay Community Isolation Facility (PBCIF), formerly Penny’s Bay Quarantine Centre (PBQC), shut its doors on March 1, following Hong Kong’s policy switch from ‘zero COVID’ to ‘living with COVID’. LANTAU RUNNERS ON THE LANTAU 50 PODIUM Action Asia Event’s Lantau 50 sky running race on December 10 saw participants choose between three gruelling courses, 16km, 27km and 54km. A special shout-out goes to Lantau residents Stella Grasso, who finished first in the women’s 54km ultramarathon and Salomon Wettstein, who finished first in the men’s 54km. LANTAU RUNNERS ON THE 2 PEAKS’ PODIUM  In Action Asia’s CBRE Lantau 2 Peaks on October 2, competitors chose to run either the 23km (two peaks) or 15km (half peak) course, solo or in mixed teams of four. The 23km course saw runners climb some of the biggest peaks in Hong Kong, with a total elevation gain of almost 1,800m. RUN WITH ACTION ASIA EVENTS  Local trail runners are reminded to enrol for Action Asia Events’ Lantau 50 as entry is now open on a first-come-first-served basis and spaces are limited. Race day is December 10, with competitors choosing to run either 16km, 27km or 54km.
